2023 Big Meat Run

"Big Meat Run," what a name! and what does it mean? First thing I had to know while attending this event, Big Meat Run is an annual event that takes place at the bottom of Pensacola Dam in Disney, Oklahoma. What started out as an event put on by a local off-roading community, has grown into the massive gathering of off-road enthusiasts that it is today, bringing in sponsors like MidAmerica Outdoors. Big Meat Run's name comes from the founder John Sumner telling his friends to bring their big meaty tires for this event.

Throughout this 3 day event, over 15,000 off-roaders will attend, exploring all the trails, climbing rocks, enjoying great food, and live music. Knockout racing and professional hillclimbing, the main events for Friday and Saturday nights, both drew in massive crowds, covering nearly the entire grounds with off-roading vehicles.
